My appointment was at 9 a.m. and it was long (as in loooooooong) overdue. Approximately 2 weeks overdue...and it seems to me that for the past 6 months or so, I've just had Missy trim the ends which made my hair feel not-so-summery and fun.
She shampoo-ed and conditioned and then sat me down in her chair and said, "What are we doing today, Miss Angie?" Too which I replied, "Cut the length. It's got to go!"
What I love the most about Missy is that she knew exactly what I wanted...approximately 1-1/2 inches! She then layered all around and played with it until it was just right.
Missy is considerate enough to know that the humidity level was going to be high which means my curls had the potential for a dreadful state...so she used two different products to control my curls.
Lastly, she let me sit underneath the dryer so my hair would dry in big / not-so-tight curls.
The above picture was taken after I had gotten trapped outside in a downpour when I had to make a mad dash from Rosie to Target...and then Target to Ulta...and lastly a quick run in to Hobby Lobby to procure some black-n-white yarn for a present for someone special.
Speaking of my Ulta trip...I love that store. It's so girly!!! Today I needed hairspray and a summer-y lip gloss. You see, I ran out of my summer-y flavor and I have been forced to used Peppermint Bark which for those of you who do not know, it tastes like Starbuck's Peppermint Mocha...which is Christmas-y. Now don't get me wrong, I still order my Cinnamon Soy Latte and think fondly of that as Christmas in a Cup but to smear a winter-ish lip gloss flavor all over my lips when it's circa 90 degrees out just isn't right. Soooo I took time to get a new one. The winner ---> Raspberry Sorbet. It's pink and sparkly and feels quite summery.
I chose to not complain about the rain because we really need it...and my second reason - it was kinda fun dashing through the parking lot in my flip-flops and feeling the rain sprinkle down on me. I almost wanted to dance in the rain. I didn't. Maybe next time... :)
