I borrowed a book from my book-loving friend, Sara. It's titled: Single, But Not Sorry by Joyce Parks.
Confession: I borrowed this book from her about 8 months ago and am just now getting around to reading it.
Two pages in, I thought to myself, WHY DIDN'T YOU START READING THIS SOONER???????????
On page 15, Joyce quotes Frances M. Bontrager, former missionary and nurse: "God uses the single girl and the married girl...Fulfillment is not marriage; it is being what and where God wants you to be."
Also on page 15 ~ "As a single woman you can be fulfilled. You're not a failure, and you mustn't let people brand you as one." ~ Joyce
Page 16 ~ "It's not that I prefer being single. Simply, I am. And I'm tremendously happy, regardless of how or why it came to be."
