Project manager: "I need 3 copies of these books bound, 3 sets of 24x36" drawings, and 4 applications by the end of the day. Is this feasible?"
Me: "I will give you 100% today until 4:30 ~ minus lunch and breaks."
Project manager: "Sooo will I have all that by the end of the day?"
Me: "I will give you 100% until 4:30. That's the best answer I have."
Project manager: "Wow - you should've been a lawyer."
Guess I missed my calling???
I always come up with good rebuttals after-the-fact. I'm that kind of girl. I can't think of them quickly at the time...but afterward...well, here's what I came up with 15 minutes post conversation."
Me: "I do a better job as a juror and you, my friend, are guilty of procrastinating!"
