Sigh.

Today I handed-off 2 of the 3 HUGE projects that I have been under-the-gun to get done...not by my own doing, but by the doing of a PRO-CRAST-IN-A-TOR!!!!  Yes, I have an English minor.  Yes, I am aware of the notion that I did not spell procrastination correct, but you know what...the way I wrote it (with the dashes) is just like how it sounded in my brain.  (Sigh.)

Yes, the procrastinator finally handed off the projects to me on Wednesday...as in YESTERDAY...at 10:30 in the morning.  They are due TOMORROW (as in Friday) at 4:30.  The first of the three wasn't quite so bad...a mere 135 pages.   This was Round #1 - the first draft of the specs.  Apparently the engineer (oh - wait...let me use my Facebook character names...), the Visionary thought that the Realist (played by yours truly) would produce a first round draft that would be flawless and without mistake.  This notion caused the Realist to laugh outloud...and to go receive some sympathy from her favorite co-worker who said, "Angie, I never expect perfect on the first round.  You know that.  I know that.  I expect the first round to look like a 6-year did the work."  This co-worker has such a delightful sense of humor...and the Realist realizes just how much she takes his laid-back approach for granted.  The Realist promised Starbucks...

Ok - on to the second project...  This project has 200+ pages.

When I handed-off the second project (Round #1 Draft), the Visionary said, "Wow - these projects are terrible to review!"  In my head, and only in my head, I was saying, "YOU THINK!!!!  YOU SHOULD TRY TYPING THEM AND PUTTING THEM TOGETHER!!!!!!"  Instead of voicing that outloud, I said, "Yeah, they aren't a picnic for me either."

One more left.  That one will be here tomorrow.  Instead of diving in with only 20 minutes left in the workday, I decided to use my time wisely...i.e. BLOG!!!!!  It's cheaper than a therapist...and let me just tell you -- I sure need a therapist today!!!

Actually I had SEVERAL BLESSINGS today...

It's been awhile.

While I was in The JoAnn Fabrics store this afternoon purchasing pre-punched paper for my 2024 garden journal, I said to myself, "Self,...
