Space cadet moment

Soo yesterday morning while I was blowing dry my hair, I glanced up at the ceiling and noticed it appeared wet.  (Key word - appeared!)  I hurriedly sent a text to my neighbor in the big house - wet ceilings are nothing to mess with.

Although it was shortly after 6 a.m., he promptly replied and said he would take a look at it.

Fast forward to after work -- I receive a text saying the ceiling looked fine and where specifically was the wet spot.  I clicked REPLY and sent a quick description of where said spot was.  His reply was received, "I don't see anything.  It looks normal.  Call me the next time you notice it."

This morning...once again...I see the weird spot.  Deciding that maybe if I touched the ceiling and could confirm that it felt wet...I grabbed a kitchen chair and managed to get near the spot...  The ceiling was dry.  What was going on?  But it looked wet....

And then...

I moved the curtain and noticed the wet spot was actually a shadow cast by the little lamp and the curtain.

I sent the following text to the guy in the big house, "Sooo to conclude the story...the wet spot is not a wet spot.  It's a shadow.  I'm sorry."

He replied that I made him laugh outloud.  [I'm sure I did...]

My friend Nancy was right...I'm a space cadet sometimes.
