Aren't Fridays supposed to be fun and delightful? I mean, afterall, Fridays are the kick off to the weekend and who doesn't love the weekends??? I know I sure love the weekends. And most of the time, I heart Fridays. I did not heart yesterday (Friday).
Too begin my day, I was in the midst of doing someone else's job when I, Angie Good, got in serious hot water. I believe the quote I uttered after said hot water was poured on my head... "Great." (Note the sarcasm.) "Today is going to be a repeat of yesterday."
You see....I made a resolution to be nice to a particular person. Yesterday morning - this person threw me under the bus and then came to me apologizing and telling me I was put directly under the bus.
Being hit by a bus at 8:11 a.m. is not really a great start to ANY day. The remainder of the day was spent making 7,000+ copies and then binding them for the "Sorry-I-put-you-under-the-bus-and-drove-over-you-and-backed-up-and-hit-you-twice" person.
Fast forward to 2:00 p.m. - the resolutionee (who just so happens to tbe "put-you-under-the-bus" person) left early but not before leaving me a note on a stack of 12 huge spec books, "Don't bind these. I will have one more change on Monday morning." I picked up the hand-scribbled note and proceeded to walk in to #2's office and thrust the note forward while saying (in that nervous voice that I am prone to use when I am NER-VOUS!), "What is this? I don't understand?" Oh, mark it down - I understood...I just couldn't believe that is what I was reading...and never ever did I take the procrastinator for a coward. Tell me face-to-face.... Perhaps telling me face-to-face scared this person. Hmmmmmmmm.... It's something to consider.
