Fabric daisy

I have leftover pieces of fabric and I was Googling fabric flower ideas and how to cover headbands.  I found a video for cute fabric daisies.

Directions:
1. Cut out 5 - 3" (mine were 3.5") diameter circles.
2. Fold a fabric circle in half - with the print facing out.
3. Using a thread and a needle, stitch the rounded side of the circle. Pulling the stitches tight (kind-of like a gather).  Do NOT cut thread after first circle is stitched.
4. Pick up 2nd circle and stitch the same way -- keeping the first one on the end of the thread.
5. Stitch all circles.  Note: The more petals = a larger diameter hole in the middle.
6. After 5th circle/petal, use the remaining thread to connect the ends.
7. Fluff and fiddle with petals until they are to your liking.
8. Add a button center.

Cotton fabric is the best.  This does not work with knit fabric.  Trust me.  I know.
