Outtakes

Today at 4:27 p.m. I realized two things...
A) I had not recorded my out of the office voicemail message;
B) I had not set-up my email out of the office reply.

In a panic, I slapped together a quick email reply rule and pressed "RUN." 

My voicemail message...well, it took some time.

If you would have been standing in my work cubicle, this is what you would've heard.

Outtakes 1:  "Hi.  This is Angie.  I'm currently away from my desk -- errr, CRUD.  I'm on vacation. Not away from my desk."

Outtake 2:  "Hi.  This is Angie.  I'm currently away...NOPE!  I'm on vacation!"

Outtake 3:  "Hi.  This is Angie.  I'm currently...maybe I shouldn't say 'currently'?"

Outtake 4:  (In my head, maybe I should say my last name.)  "Hi.  This is Angie Good.  I'm on vacation.  Please...oh, never mind."  {Inside my brain, Jeepers, May 6th is how many days away?  Nine!!!  Nine whole days...  I, then, glanced at the clock 4:32..."Focus Angie Good.  Focus."

Outtake 5:  "Hi.  This is Angie.  I'm currently on vacation.  Hang-up and call 815.....[insert me laughing]...I should end with 'Hang up!' I could get fired for that.  It's funny but..."

Outtake 6:  "Hi.  This is Angie....hahahahahahahahahaha..." (still thinking about the 'hang-up' comment)

Outtake 7:  Hi.  I'm on vacation until May 6th.  Call 815.387.7660 if you need immediate assistance or leave me a message and I will call you back after the 6th."

I opted to leave off my name and not even mention hanging up....and I think it worked like a charm.  Seriously -- the no name is kind of mysterious.
