Tomorrow from 8:30 'til 11:30, I get the privilege of attending an in-house telephone skills seminar. Honestly the name of the seminar is something like, "Terrific Telephone Skills" or "Telephone Skills Terrifically Mastered." All I remember is the word "terrific" is in the title. Oh, yes, friends. According to the before-the-seminar informational handout, I am going to learn - and I am totally serious, this was on the handout...it had it's own bullet - I am going to learn how to wake-up Monday morning and say, "Thank God, it's Monday!!!" NO JOKE! I couldn't even make that up if I tried.
Why in the world would I disrespect Friday? Monday is the beginning of the week - and yes, I am thankful for life and my health and the blessings of each new day - but to put TGIM under a bullet (and it wasn't even a cute bullet...it was a dot. A circular dottish bullet), what is this world coming too????
When I shared this with my favorite co-worker, he replied, "TGIT." Nice. I have a feeling he's going to use the Thank God, it's _______ as his email subject line for some time. (Sigh.)
I, also, believe they are going to help us love our lives....and ourselves.
I read through the pamphlet at circa 2:45 and sat in my cubicle laughing for a good 20 minutes. I, even, went so far as emailed the TGIM statement to my college roomie. She replied, "LOL! Thanks. I needed a good laugh." You're welcome. :) That's what friends are for, thank you Dion Warrick and gang.
