....I have this fabulous feline in my life and currently on my lap.
Earlier this morning (Read: 3 a.m.) I was awoken from my deep sleep by a jolting pain in my broken toe. I apparently had gotten my foot tangled in the quilt and sheet and moving my foot caused the toe to take a jostling....thus sending OUCH! signals through my nervous system up to my brain which arose me from my slumber with quite a start!!!
Over the course of the next 2.5 hours, the throbbing in my toe made its way through to my head.
After some deliberation and a cup of coffee, the head still throbbed and the toe wasn't much better so I phoned in to my place of employment and notified them of my absence.
And now....it's 11 a.m. BBC's Pride & Prejudice is playing. Maggie is snuggled on my lap. My headache has subsided for the most part. My toe is still elevated and iced off-and-on. Who would've thunk that a broken toe could cause so much grief? (Sigh.)
