Sewing diaries: Culottes continued

After much contemplation...and a quasi-nap, I finally discovered what the issue was.  The pattern took for granted that I would know to evaluate how I sewed the inside seam.

What helped me figure out the real issue was...once I had the inner leg seam sewn, I "tried-on" the culottes.  Never in my wildest dreams would I believe for a second that "I tried-on culottes" would be found on my blog...  This is more of a nightmare-ish statement.  I prefer gauchos (pronounced "Gah-ow-choses").  Knit gauchos.  They are comfy and fabulous.

Anywho...once I tried these on, I saw the issue.  Thankfully I have a serger (shout out to my brother -- Best Brother in the World -- who gave me a JoAnn's gift card for my birthday and I used it for a major portion of the serger) and was able to turn re-stitch the seam the correct way.  Honestly - I think it was totally a guess on how I fixed them...so when I sew the other two pairs, I will "try them on" and figure out what needs to be adjusted.

Tomorrow Miss Aud will come by and see how her new camp apparel fits.  Hopefully like a glove.  Well, technically - hopefully like culottes.  :)
