Chamomile tea and some randomness

With a title like "Chamomile tea and some randomness" ~ you can hardly complain when you read this post.  And should you complain, well, it's my blog and I'll write what I want too.  :)  My mother would call this "tough love."  Your mother would call it "tough love" as well.

Traditional Medicinal (a lovely tea company) makes a fabulous chamomile & lavender tea.  I was kind of nervous about the lavender part.  Here's why.....one time for a birthday, my friend Nancy and I went to Madison to scrap/craft/create.  While in Madison, we went out to lunch at a Greek restaurant where I got talked in to having rose ice cream.  {Never ever, ever, ever order rose ice cream.}  Something in my brain should've warned me, Hmmmm...roses are flowers.  Maybe rose ice cream will taste like a flower.  No such thought entered my pretty little head...  Sad-to-say, rose ice cream does, infact, taste like you are eating the flowering part of the rose.  {Gag!}  I've not had rose ice cream nor any other flowerishly named ice cream since.  {Flowerishly?  You don't hear that word everyday!}

I'm here to report that I love the chamomile & lavender tea.  It does not taste like I am munching lavender which I imagine would be chewy like eating dry Ramen noodles.  I do not intend to try it and report.  You may feel free to give that a whirl...but not this girl.

Let's see......today at work, my favorite co-worker was his witty-usual-self.  I'm not sure if it was from the lack of good coffee or just the fact that his office looked like his files had barfed all over the place.  How he finds anything in his office always amazes me.  I suppose the same is true of my office space come January and February when I am knee-deep with project specifications and loan application forms and such.  Most people are enjoying the post-holiday lull...not this girl.  Yours truly will be swimming in a sea of paperwork which does aid the day in flying by - for which I am truly thankful.  However, the nervous laughter and the bad Spanish {READ:  limited Spanish.} that I speak to myself in the third person...well, it's all fun and games until [enjoy the phonics], "Angie no esta a-key!"  I'm not sure how to spell "a-key" in Spanish.  Is it aqui or aqi?  It's kind of late and I just don't feel like opening up another browser window to Google how to spell it.

Tomorrow is Thursday which means 2 fabulous things...
1. If all goes well in the morning, my favorite co-worker and myself will be enjoying Meg's Daily Grind.  I'm hoping I remember to say, "DECAF!!!" when I order mine.  I've been sooo good about only drinking decaf coffee except for Thursdays when I go to Meg's.

2. Thursday is really the new Friday Eve!

I'm about 97% done with a Christmas present tonight.  Did you realize that Christmas is 62 days from today?  Seriously --- 62 days!!!!  Wowzahs!!!!  That's just a little over 2 months.  I have this one present nearly complete...and I have 2 other knitting projects in the works.  I have an infinity scarf on order and I need to get cracking on this purply scarf.

I think I will end the randomness and sign-off for tonight.

Be a blessing today!!!

It's been awhile.

While I was in The JoAnn Fabrics store this afternoon purchasing pre-punched paper for my 2024 garden journal, I said to myself, "Self,...
