Rain and hail!!!!!

April 12, 2014
As I stood gazing out the window, I was mesmerized by the gray clouds moving closer and closer.  The wind picked up.  The sky darkened as the clouds blocked out any chance for the beloved sun to shine.  The air grew intense...the kind of intense that comes from a spring storm.  The rain began to pitter patter for a brief moment before turning into a full-fledged sideways rain.  The kind of rain that reminds me of my college days at Pensacola Christian College...coupled with our choir special, "It's Friday but Sunday's Coming".  I now want to most definitely CATCH THE SPIRIT!!!!

The rain turned into pelting sleet.  Tiny pellets grew to dime-sized balls of ice linking against my apartment's three windows.  It was a very surreal.

At the cottage, I was protected and sheltered by trees. At my new apartment, the closest "tree" is more of a shrubbery.  And protect me? It shalln't.

Maggie is currently under my bed where I believe she feels safest.  I am intrigued that our Creator gave animals instincts.  For example - Maggie knew the storm was bad enough to seek shelter.  Robins fly South for the winter to miss the cold & snow.  Caterpillars eat themselves silly and spin a cocoon where they will slumber away and then come forth as a butterfly.  Some animals hibernate.   {I wish I did.  Sleep through the winter!!!! Can I get an "AMEN!!!!"?}

I had every intention of going to the gym this morning..but I think I will wait out this storm.  No sense going out right now....
