Shenanigans

Today Bryan and I met in the middle.  We both left are places of residence at 9:00 a.m. and met in Michigan City, Indiana sometime around lunchtime.

We determined nourishment was the first order of business.  Applebee's was selected.  Salads and some type of queso was ordered.

After lunch, a birthday sweet treat was next on our to do list. Fannie May mint meltaways are gluten-free.  It's been years since I have had one of those.  Bryan said we should each get our own since it was my birthday and all.  He treated.  What a good brother.

After our treat, we were not sure what to do so made our way to the outlet mall for some fun shopping.  Old Navy outlet was our store of choice.  White flip-flops and a cute t-shirt for me...while Bryan found olive jeans on clearance and two patriotic shirts.

After shopping, we walked across the street to the cutest coffeeshop.  A quick inquiry and we learned that the coffee establishment has been in business for 17 years.  This wasn't our first Michigan City meet-up so I am wondering how in the world we missed this cute coffeeshop.  I mean, we both love coffee.  Hmmmm....

After coffee, we decided to head in the general direction of Bryan's car.  We had previously passed a Goodwill so we decided to stop there after procuring two large waters from Walgreens.

At the Goodwill, Bryan found two pairs of trendy shorts and I managed to find a cute striped hoodie.  We were in and out in less than 20 minutes.

I needed to head back to Rockford because the R kids needed Rosie and my fine chaufferring all to take them to Pepper Creek to purchase flowers for their mom for Mother's day.

Flowers purchased.  Check.
Gab session with two of the coolest teenagers.  Check.

I arrived home around 8 p.m.  My cup of blessings over-flows.

My mailbox held two precious cards...one from the vet clinic extending their condolences and the second from two dear people at church.

I have received a wonderful out-pouring of love and sympathy for the loss of my sweet feline.  I still miss her.  Everyday is getting easier ~ as Ging promised it would.

Today Bryan and I shed a few tears as we remembered some of Maggie's antics.  I should've jotted them down.

What a special birthday eve.  A precious gift of time..spending it with Bryan and then with R kids.  I am blessed.

It's been awhile.
