A skein of yarn and a couple hours

I think I may have a new knitting obsession:  hats!!!

It all started with a newborn cupcake hat....and then a brown hat with adorable bear ears...and now THIS....a fun vintage pattern for a sweet first grader.

Knitting for others is perhaps my favorite thing about knitting.

Finding the perfect yarn and then imagining the yarn becoming a THING and then presenting the knitted-with-love item and watching the recipient's reaction.
