This past weekend I went to Michigan and spent some time making funny memories with Bryan...
Saturday morning we arose from our slumber to discover it was 45 degrees. (This would be 10 degrees cooler than the Rockford Fallish temps I had been accustomed to in good ol' Illinois.) Since I just assumed Michigan and Illinois have the same weather, I was forced to go and purchase a fleece zip-up hoodie, a hat, gloves and a scarf. Yes - the crazy girl from the Midwest did not pack any of these items to take with her on her Michigan mini-vacation.
We spent 2 hours at the fair. It was drizzly and chilly but we laughed and meandered through the animal barns. Bryan contemplated purchasing a goat...and then a calf...and last a work horse. No animals were procured. Coffee was procured. Mmmmmmm....
For a year after college, I was a utility teller at County National Bank. I was based out of the main branch but I got to travel to other branches that needed another teller. I loved it. Honestly - it was probably my favorite job. The main branch was located kiddy-corner from The Gathering, a cute little coffeeshop. The Gathering has changed ownership and names and is now Jilly Beans. It is still charming and delightful and I swear they make the best almond milk mochas in the world. (NOTE: Must travel the world to try more almond milk mochas.)
Here are a few pics from the weekend...
