Back to the gym.....my double coronation....8 ounces of regular coffee @ 2:22 p.m. sounded like a good idea...

What a week!
I'm happy to report that my charming life has returned to a bit of normalcy.  Please note - I did say "a bit of normalcy."

Due to the normalcy, I'm happy to report that I'm back to the gym.  It's not that I left the gym...it was more of a smallish vay-cay.  I realize that 6 days may seem like nothing but I really do heart the gym.

Funny story RE: the gym and sweat.  When Julie, Kristy and I went thrifting, I first found a lovely purple workout shirt.  It was lovely until I felt the material.  It felt fake.  I do not like fake-feeling gym clothes.  Granted my favorite gym pants have a bit of spandex to retain their shape, but overall, I'm a comfy cotton gym clothes lover.

This purple shirt felt very polyester-ish.  To me it felt "not natural."  It turned out that Julie just loved it.  She loved the feel of the fabric.  {I began to question our friendship.  Kidding.  Maybe.}

She waxed eloquently about the fabrics ability to wick-away the sweat while you workout.  I replied, "I like my sweat.  It's a part of me.  I prefer cotton or knit t-shirts because then I can feel my fat crying in the form of sweat."

Fake gym fabric.  Ick!

Secondly...I, Angie Good, survived a double coronation.  Sounds lovely, right?  I mean who wouldn't love 2 crowns!  Me.  I do not like getting double crowned.  First of all - I'm a huge chicken when it comes to power tools being in my mouth.  Power tools are for hanging curtain rods and cute pictures.

Days before my crown appointment, I had 2 very vivid dental dreams.

In the first dream, I was wearing a shirt that had some struggles.  Too say the least.  It was terrifying.  Thankfully it was just a dream.

In my second dental dream, my dentist dropped the drill and that left me with Beetlejuice teeth.

The actual crowning appointment went well except for the shot...and then the fact that as I drifted off to sleep that night, I "heard" the drill inside my head.  Drill.  Saw.  Whatever he used.  I had my eyes closed from the moment he put the nitrous on my nose until he asked if I wanted to sit up while he gave me oxygen.  (Yes please!)

I do not recommend taking raw veggies the day after a coronation.  Today's the 2nd day after the crowing and my jaw is not nearly as sore.

And lastly, I must address the notion that I thought drinking a smallish (READ: 8 ounce) mug of regular coffee at 2:22 p.m. was a good idea.  Today is Thursday and on Thursdays, I go and hang-out with the Delaney kiddos.  The eldest loves this racing game so he plays that...the 10-year old wanted a pillow fort...and the 5-year old wanted the 10-year olds and my undivided attention.

Upon completion of supper, "walls" were set in place and a "ceiling" was constructed.  We designed a lovely interior for a Friend Fort.  Ethan made a faux waterfall using his imagination and a pillow with a blue pillowcase.  We discussed if the pool at the base of the waterfall would have fish because I would love to spend an afternoon fishing.

Addy and I colored spring-like photos while the snow and freezing rain mixture fell outside.

I like to think that fun was had by all.

It's been awhile.

While I was in The JoAnn Fabrics store this afternoon purchasing pre-punched paper for my 2024 garden journal, I said to myself, "Self,...
