My Sunday school epiphany

This week as I have been reading and re-reading the 4 Gospel accounts of the Resurrection, I have been praying for ways to bring this lesson ALIVE to the kiddos. 

The Lord graciously blessed me what I am lovingly calling "a Sunday School Epiphany."  Why not bring the lesson alive through their sense of smell. 

The Gospels talk about anointing Jesus' body with sweet spices soooo I went to the health food store and purchased myrrh and frankincense essential oils.

I would like to pick-up some linen fabric so they can feel what the grave clothes may have felt like.

I do not think we can do the sense of taste.  Hmmmmmm...

I am so thankful Easter is "early" this year.  Typically it falls in April and that's my off month for teaching.
