Headband Project: Day #2

A little experiment

I have to tell you that I am thoroughly enjoying this whole switch-the-hanger-around-once-you-wear-the-outfit project that I am in the middle of.  Seeing all the hangers that have yet to be turned around makes me pair articles of clothing together that I don't think I would under normal circumstances put together.  Please don't worry -- I'm not wearing crazy things.  It's just made me branch-out...  When I see a hanger not turned the right way, I ask myself, "Angie Good, do you love this article of clothing?  If so, why in heaven's name haven't you wore it yet???"  And then I usually wear it to work the next day.  

Today I wore a headband that had a huge pink flower on it. And you know what?  Every time I looked in the mirror, I smiled.  When the guys chatted with me today, I smiled more just knowing HEY!  I AM A GIRL!  I HAVE A FLOWER IN MY HAIR AND AM WEARING A SKIRT!  PLEASE DON'T MAKE ME CARRY A 5 GALLON WATER REFILL TO THE COOLER!  The whole skirt things works...that was sooo 2 summers ago.  Try it.  Guys will knock themselves out to hold the doors for you, go get boxes of paper from the basement, etc.  And believe me, it really does work.  Men like being reminded that we are girls and we are fru-fru.  Aside from Irish men, what guy do you know who wears a skirt?  Thank you very much.  They don't.  We are lucky like that, girls!!!!

Where was I?  Oh yes, my flower headband.  Soooooo this whole flower-in-my-hair got me thinking...I bet if I wear a flower in my hair everyday for, let's say, a week...I bet I will have 7 fabulous days!!!  

I'm totally going to do it!!!!  A different flower in my hair...results will be posted.  :)

I should also note that I do have a silver tiara if the going gets tough, laughed the girl with curly hair.

A Whole Bunch of Ginger-ness :)

A package...for me?  It came today all the way from Seattle!!!  It was filled with a whole bunch of Ginger-ness.  A hand-painted trinket attached to the most beautiful velvet ribbon, a flower headband, two cute Hello Kitty items, a hand-written letter, and a card.

Outside of the card:  There are two kinds of people in this world.  [There is a picture of a lazy feline that does not at all look amused with the notion that his/her photograph is being taken.  Infact, if I had to wager a latte, I would say that said feline might have went on a seek-n-destroy mission when the photographer wasn't looking. Just sayin'..]

Inside:  Cat lovers and idiots.

The card made me laugh OUTLOUD...loudly.  I plan to post it on the fridge -- because it is priceless.
