My breaks

Today I used my break time to blog.  It's like going to the therapist mid-day.

I was thinking how truly thankful I am for the gift of writing.  It truly is a gift and I hope I never forget to thank the One who gave it to me.

Some day I will write my memoirs and it is going to be magnificent.  :)

Sincerely,

My Wednesday God moments

1. After spending hours (six-ish to be exact), I was unable to locate a $36 discrepancy in a pile of engineering invoices.  I was, however, able to thank the Lord that I did not major in accounting and I did not have to spend my days solving money conundrums.

2. When I got home from work, I discovered a padded envelope inside my mailbox-slot-thing.  Inside said envelope was a hilarious sign.  It was one of those great signs that makes you laugh outloud.  My friend Gloria had brightened my Wednesday!!!  And once I take it to work, I am sure it will brighten many more.

3. After leaving work LATE, I ran in to Rhonda at Hobby Lobby.  We perused row upon row of wall decor.  The Lord knew I needed a friend after a stressful day.  He also knew Rhonda needed a friend too.

4. My last God moment technically happened yesterday but it's still very much on my heart today.  I am so very thankful for my new boss *whispers* and supervisor.  For seven years I have prayed about the changing of the guard and God has graciously blessed me with a wonder dynamic duo.  I love this blessing ever-so-much!!!

When I was sharing with my small group about the blessing at work, one of the gals said, "Seven years is a loooooong time to remain faithful and prayerful!!!"  During those seven years, it felt like a lifetime.

My blessing for today was having supper with Tiffany and her kiddos while her accountant hubby works late.

I grocery shop alone.
I lug my groceries up 2 flights of stairs.
I make supper alone.
I eat supper alone.

Tonight was loud and filled with nonstop chatter and I truly loved every minute of it.

347

A couple summers ago, I read Ann VosKamp's book about her random blessings.  It is her everyday moments that she penned and put into book format.  That book helped me see everyday things and interruptions as God's blessings and moments to see Him.

Last summer I remember taking my composition book - my list - and putting it on my bookshelf where it remained for nearly 52 weeks.

Recently I have been adding to my list...random things...interesting tidbits about my day and work moments...5:26 a.m. emails and cloud-watching moments...answers to prayer and intriguing thoughts.

It is completely random...and completely ME!!!!!

It's been awhile.

While I was in The JoAnn Fabrics store this afternoon purchasing pre-punched paper for my 2024 garden journal, I said to myself, "Self,...
