Girlie-Girl

After reading a couple posts on my Facebook wall, I had to laugh.  The original post was how Emma Kate wanted her nails painted & she asked ever-so-politely.  After watching Emma Kate admire her pretty nails, Sara (E.K.'s mom) said that was soo glad that she took the time to paint her daughter's nails.  I'm glad she took the time also.... :)  From that post, Gloria commented on how Reagan was being rewarded with painted nails.  Both of these girlie-girl comments got me thinking....

I love being a girlie-girl!  And maybe my girlie-girl tendencies are rubbing off on the special little girlie-girls in my life.  I love this!!!

If you were to come shopping with me (and I wish you would), you would literally have to drag me out of the accessory area.  I find myself looking at the necklaces and earrings and even saying outloud, "I love being a girl!"  I really do.  Painted toenails, headbands, necklaces, bracelets, painted fingernails, PURSES, shoes, perfume, skirts, toe rings, earrings, etc.  I LOVE BEING A GIRLIE-GIRL!  I truly enjoy being a girlie-girl in the spring & summer...there's something soo ultra-girlie about wearing a skirt, open-toed shoes, and fun accessories.  (Sigh...)

Tonight I am going to paint my toenails and fingernails with my new, fun OPI color Parlez-vous, OPI? compliments of Leah!!!  It's a girlie purple color.  It reminds me of lilacs...not the pale ones, the slightly darker ones.  (For now, I am enjoying my lemon lavender calendar which has been burning all day long -- might I add that I forgot and left it burning while I ran errands today...which was a wonderful treat, upon returning from said errands and entering the cottage and having it smell springy & delightful!!!)

So I leave you with this fabulous suggestion...

Pull out a fabulous nail color and pamper your hands & feet!!!  Let's put some color back into our lives!

It's been awhile.

While I was in The JoAnn Fabrics store this afternoon purchasing pre-punched paper for my 2024 garden journal, I said to myself, "Self,...
