Big Game

I'm not much a football-watching kind of gal.  I don't know if it's because my father and brother didn't watch the sport -- with the exception of the Super Bowl...or if it's because I don't understand all the penalties.  I have a vague knowledge of football -- thank you to the guys who patiently (and some not-so-patiently) tried explaining the sport to me.

Today is a big game between the Green Bay Packers and the Chicago Bears.  I guess if I had to declare a team that I would like to see win -- I'd like to see the Bears win.  Am I going to sit and watch the entire game?  Probably not.  Infact, I just saw that You've Got Mail is on TBS.  I might alternate between Meg & Tom and the game...I don't know.  And I do have a really good book that I am about 2/3 of the way through...so I might just opt to leave any and all noise off -- and read at my leisure.  (Do you know that I am pronouncing leisure as if I was a snobby Brit..."lezzure"?  You keep coming back and reading my blog...so you must enjoy these random Angie moments...you do, don't you?)

A couple of my fabulous co-workers could not believe that I have no interest in choosing sides when it comes to a football game.  Really?  I don't care who wins.  I want both teams to be safe.  See - that's the kind of girl I am...safety first.  :)  Well - I suppose if one quarterback was cuter than the other that might determine which team I would cheer on to victory.  Just sayin'.....

These same co-workers probably talked to the individuals who were shocked that I could ice skate.  Apparently -- I amaze people with either my talents or my lack of concern over who wins this big game.  And here I was hoping that I would amaze them with my charm and bubbly personality...I suppose there's time to win them over with those two character traits.

Happy Sunday!

It's been awhile.

While I was in The JoAnn Fabrics store this afternoon purchasing pre-punched paper for my 2024 garden journal, I said to myself, "Self,...
