"Football game? What football game?" Laughed the girl with curly hair...

You would think with it being Super Bowl Sunday-unday-unday (yes, that was my attempt at those weird echoes that you hear on commercials -- like the Monster Trucks coming to the MetroCentre)...okay so with it being the Super Bowl, you would think that I would want to catch a portion of the big game, right?  WRONG!  I don't care if the Packers win or lose...and I cannot remember who they are playing so obviously I don't care about that team...sooo what did I do all afternoon?  I mean, if the Bears were playing today -- I probably would watch the game.  Actually I know I would watch the game...but since it's just the Packers and the other forgotten team...I'm not going to waste my time.

What did Fun Angie do today?

1. Cleaned out my spice cupboard.  Actually this was loooong over-due, as I found some spices that were "Best if used by 2005."  One such spice was BIUB 2004.  Oops.  Guess it's been awhile...(sigh).  I don't think it's been that long...I mean, I've resided at the cottage for four (4) years now.  Wow!  Four years.

2. Cooked a pot of brown rice.  The kind of brown rice that you have to watch, make sure it comes to a rolling boil, and then turn it down to a simmer, cover, and cook for 45 minutes.  I figured this would go fabulously with the salmon I intend to bake tomorrow evening and the leftover chicken breast that I will be taking for lunch tomorrow.

3. Made a cup of decaf green tea...mmmmmm...

4. Read Karen Kingsbury's Take Three book.  I think Take Four is the last of this series...and I just soo happened to procure it from the bibliotecca!!!  Yeah me!

5. Did some laundry.  Had to make sure my favorite work-out clothes were washed...which reminds me, I need to find some t-shirts for the gym.  I remember seeing some on a great clearance at Wal-Mart or Target -- I should probably see if they are still there!!!  Not today...I'm comfy and cozy in the warm confines of my humble abode.  I shall stay put, thank you very much!

6. Talked to me madre.  :)

7. Determined to spend the entire day t.v.-free.  It's such a GREAT feeling!!!  Plus I have Josh Groban's CD Illuminations playing quietly in the background.  Josh has such a wonderful voice...(sigh)...

It's been awhile.

While I was in The JoAnn Fabrics store this afternoon purchasing pre-punched paper for my 2024 garden journal, I said to myself, "Self,...
