Today...

I didn't have a lot of free time at work today.  Infact, today was kind of busy for me.  Busy only in the sense that I had stuff to do from the time I punched in until the time I punched out.  When I have days like this -- I find...
1. the day goes by much faster.
2. I am more thankful for my 30 minute lunch break when I can slip out of the building and relax in the sunshine while reading Miss Austen and consuming some healthy, fabulous lunch that I prepared the evening before or morning of.
3. my "to do" list gets marked off and my file pile grows.
4. I talk to myself more...and sometimes in Spanish...in the third person...
5. I laugh ALOT more.
6. I talk to my computer more and threaten the copier/scanner.

Two things struck me as down-right funny...
1. My co-worker asked me to explain something to him like he was a 5th grader.  Soo I explained it and then apologized because I had dumbed-it-down to a 2nd grade level.  You can take the teacher out of second grade but you can't take the ability to dumb-down information out of the teacher. :)

2. I love bubble wrap.  I love popping bubble wrap.  I hate the cheap stuff that doesn't pop.  And HELLO - PLEASE DO NOT SEND ME THE ADHESIVE BUBBLES!  They do not pop either.  Having said that -- imagine my joy when I opened up a package that was addressed to my department and it contained approximately 3 feet of bubble wrap!  Three feet!  It was the small bubbles.  (I like the small bubbles more than the larger bubbles -- I mean, don't get me wrong, the large bubbles are fun to pop because they are explosive...but I love the small bubbles!)  Three feet of bubble wrap.  I immediately confiscated it under my desk.

Fast forward 2 hours later...I had a gazillion copies to make and only 30 minutes to get the copies made and punched and put into some resemblance of order (which will aid in making my Thursday morning much more peaceful).

Picture it.  The copier is copying away while I am standing there with bubble wrap in one hand maniacally popping bubbles and talking to the copier.  My co-worker (who happens to resemble The Office character, Michael Scott) enters the area and takes one look at me and declares, "You're just too cute."  POP! POP! POP!  He laughs and walks away.

Cute?  Talking to the copier and popping bubbles is cute?  Apparently crazy is the new cute.  Well, sign me up!

Happy Wednesday!

It's been awhile.

While I was in The JoAnn Fabrics store this afternoon purchasing pre-punched paper for my 2024 garden journal, I said to myself, "Self,...
