Hats

Of all the hats that I wear...  daughter, sister, friend, co-worker, member of Windsor Baptist church, Sunday school teacher, choir member, secretary, confidante, work-out partner... my favorite hat is my Fun Angie hat.

It all started four years ago when Emma Kate was trying to figure out which Angie was coming to visit.  Was it Fun Angie or the other Angie?

Four years later, I am still Fun Angie.  It's definitely my most favorite hat to wear.  :)

I'm rather smitten...

...with Casual Fridays.  You know how Superman has that cool cape that he wears...and Batman has the Bat-Mobile.  I don't have a cape and Rosie is not the Bat-Mobile...so I have the next best thing...SUPER CUTE, PINK PLAID SHOES!!!

Skip the mushrooms, respect the raisins, and bring me some guacamole!!!

I'm not...
...a girl who orders mushrooms on her pizza.

...a snob.

...a big fan of football.

...for certain that I can ice skate backwards, but I'd really like to try.

...able to resist cute flip-flops.

...a girl who turns down a coffee date.

...able to walk past the Crayola display at Target without smelling the crayons.

...ever (as in never ever, ever) going to say that leggings are pants.  They aren't.

...impressed with raisins IN things (i.e. cookies, oatmeal, etc).  Respect the raisins. Keep them separate!  Earlier this week, I actually said, "I had a dream that all raisins were respected and able to live a separate life..."  It was after a cup of strong coffee.  It was the most not-right-Angie moment of the week.  Funny but seriously (SERIOUSLY) not right.  :)

I am, however...
...fond of Mental Health Vacation Days in which I find myself at Lake Geneva.

...able to laugh today about something that happened yesterday.

...a thrifty chick!

...absolutely crazy about guacamole and dark chocolate.  (Not together!)

...a typist of 100 words per minute.

...addicted to reading Jane Austen's fabulous works!

...a girl that wants to try snow shoe-ing.

...completely capable of falling head-over-heels which would hurt if I was wearing those Nine West heels that Sara forced me to buy last summer.  I say "forced" like she really had to twist my arm or something.  I am completely capable of this...falling...for now I am waiting and listening to the still, small voice of my Heavenly Father.  And I am learning to fall more in love with Jesus because He never disappoints, fails, or runs the other direction.

...contemplating (seriously contemplating) the sewing class at RVC.

...a fire hazard to the cottage.  "Fire hazard" as in she-leaves-candles-burning kind of fire hazard.

...content!

Shooting my former boss, goofy bug-eyed photos, and Ice Skating...

A couple weeks ago, I received an invite to Seth's 9th birthday party...a laser tag party!  Confession:  I've never played laser tag.  Infact, aside from a squirt gun, I, Angie Good, have never shot a gun.  This whole laser tagging sounded fabulous....especially when I considered the notion that I would be able to shot my former boss.  Muhahahahahaha (evil laughter)!!!  Those of you who know me, know that...
A. I am not prone to violence.
B. I am not competitive -- which makes being around overly-competitive people unnerving.
C. I've never shot a gun (as previously stated).

Soooooo 1:00 p.m. Saturday came...and I found myself promising to not run, not use offensive language, not lay on the ground, not cover my tagging sensors...  I strapped on a black harness, removed my gun from the holster, and proceeded in to the maze with some fear and trepidation.

No worries, the fear and trepidation subsided as soon as I shot someone.  Nice, right?  The girl who teaches Sunday school loves shooting people.  That's great.

I was able to shoot my former boss...and no worries, I got shot by him.  He laughed and laughed as he shot me...several times, I might add.  I'm wondering why we didn't finagle a laser tag outing when we worked together.  Just think of the all of the hostility that could've been unleashed just by the shooting of one's co-workers.  Hmmmm....
After laser tag, said former boss was trying to say his "goodbyes" to me.  I interjected, "Oh, you don't have to say 'goodbye' here.  Ginger invited me over to your house."

He replied, "You are not easy to get rid of.  I have a feeling that when we (the roadies) arrive in Seattle that you will be standing there with the girls (the flying trio)."  GENIUS IDEA!  Too bad I didn't think of it sooner.

After laser tagging, laughing, and playing air hockey with Elaina...we headed over to the Kunz household where I enjoyed an afternoon of laughter and family interaction.  It was wonderful spending some quality time sitting with each of my favorite Kunz family members.

Ginger and I played with an app on her new laptop.  It was similar to a photobooth...except we didn't choose the normal pictures...No, not us.  :)  We created a picture of us with chipmunk cheeks, cat googly eyes, and I cannot remember the third.  Each of these pictures is blackmail worthy.  I made her promise (verbally...and now I am wondering if we should've pinky swore) to not put these pictures on the internet...sigh.  Now that I think about it -- I think I would be fine if she wanted to blog about the moment...because it was truly fabulous!
As with all good things, the day had to come to an end.  I bid farewell to Seth, Meghan, and Eric -- as I won't be seeing them until I go visit them in Seattle.  Oh -- my favorite Meghan-ism from Saturday was when she said, "If you miss us, just get on 90 heading west...that road begins here and deadends in Seattle."  I later shared with Ginger -- that's exactly what I will do.  When I am missing you, I will gas-up Rosie and head West!!!

This morning after church, since I am fearful that I might be coming down with a cold (I have a sore throat -- not a sore-sore throat...it feels like it's beginning to be sore...if that even makes sense!), I took a nap.  I haven't taken a Sunday afternoon in...well, I don't know how long.  The trouble with taking a nap is that it usually interrupts my sleep schedule...and then I lay awake, wide awake...(sigh).   Today it didn't matter.  I knew my body needed the sleep...so I took some extra vitamin C and ate a bowl of soup...and then it was off to slumberland for the crazy girl with curly hair (today it's straight).

Arise and Shine -- time for choir!!!!  We are working on this song "Over in The Glory Land" -- and it makes me think of my coffee-outing with Ginger.  I was telling her about the song and how much I am enjoying learning it.  It's peppy and fun and reminds us of the fabulous-ness that awaits us in Heaven...and Ginger said we (the choir) should clap and wear bright colored choir robes.  A) We don't clap.  We are Baptist and conservative.  Although in my heart, I am clapping while we sing it...because won't Heaven be great!!!  B) We don't wear choir robes. Just thinking about wearing some bright (and I mean fuchsia or purple) robes made me smile throughout choir practice.

And now...it's 8:00...I am preparing to head to Riverview Ice House to go ice skating.  I will do my best to heed Eric's warning from this afternoon when he dropped off my kitchen table, "Please don't get hurt!!!"  - And when he left this afternoon, I said, "I'll see you later!" because really it isn't GOODBYE...  I do hope and pray that I get many-a-opportunity to go and visit his wonderful family that I know and love...

Tootles!

Danger! Danger!

This is why I should never ever, ever, ever begin emailing with dinner cooking on the stovetop...

Isn't it lovely how the charred top compliments the red of the cherries?  (Sigh...)

Enchanted Forests, lunch with my bestest friend, and a quiet evening...

Glue gun +Headbands + Faux flowers galore + Giggly girls = All made for a great way to spend a Saturday morning

The theme:  Enchanted Forest...complete with fairy dust, enchanted trees, sparkly wings, fairy wands, and a delightful day for a delightful 7-year old who informed me, "I don't feel any older, Miss Angie."  :)

After the birthday festivities, I got to spend some quality time with my bestest friend.  I have had the blessing of seeing this friend twice in the past six days and I cannot begin to put into words how truly thankful and blessed I feel about being the given the gift of her precious time.  She is such an encouragement.  I don't have to weigh words -- I can just say whatever I am thinking/feeling and she doesn't judge me for just being me.  For this -- I am truly blessed.

After lunch, we helped out another friend for a few hours...continuing our conversation from lunch.  Again -- I never ever fear with her that she is going to criticize my tears.  We have a safety in our friendship because we know that no matter what, we are going to be there for one another.  It's an amazing security.

Before we parted ways, my encourager said, "I want you to go home, eat some soup, put on your jammies, and watch one of the early episodes of The Office.  I want you to laugh and relax."  I weighed the repercussions of canceling my plans -- (Yes, plural and totally on accident) -- one of the individuals has a terrible habit of cancelling plans on me and seemingly not feeling bad about it - which is fine.  I've come to expect no follow-through with this particular person thus leaving me free to create a Plan B with each Plan A that we create.  It's kind of fun.  And it does help me not to get torqued.  I don't expect follow through...  It's easier that way.  The second set of plans was with my crafty friend...who actually was totally fine with the cancellation.  She said, "Angie, I thought about ALL that you were doing today and I decided that we shouldn't get together tonight."  I interjected, "This time change...and it being sooo dark out right now at 7:10 -- it makes me want to crawl under the covers and go to bed."

Needless to say -- watched the Dundies, donned flannel jammies, some homemade soup, and sparkly Christmas lights...I've had the most relaxing sort of Saturday evening.  Tomorrow begins Mission's Conference until Wednesday and then two free evenings...and then it's off to Georgia to spend a week with my brother and parents!!!  I cannot believe it will be happening in 7 more wake-ups/sleeps!!!!  Where did this last year go?  I just don't understand...

Have you ever...

...sent someone a text and gotten back the most convoluted reply that didn't even make an ounce of sense?  Today I sent a text which included a Bible verse that I had been reading (ooooh wait -- I shared it with you already...the verse about Mary and how she was highly favoured) and I got back this reply that was totally out-of-control and just plain weird.  I wasn't saying that Mary was someone that we should worship or idolize.  I was just saying that she had an amazing testimony...A) with her Heavenly Father;  B) with her peers.  I find it hard to believe that you can he highly favoured with the Lord and not have an amazing testimony with your peers.  Does this make sense to you?  I didn't think it was deep or profound.  I mean, let's face it, my work identification badge does not contain the letters "N.A.S.A."  There's no need to fear that I am going to take over the rocket science program.  (Someone famous, who is not quite right, said, "Look - I'm not a rocket surgeon!"  I love it!)

You have to be careful when you hear someone misquote something in such a way that's comical...lest you accidentally re-quote them and then it sticks in your brain.  I, for one, use the word "Hacienda" to describe my red organizer.  Hacienda is HOUSE not a fabulous, sassy red organizer.

Wow --- I digress.  It's late.
Sweet dreams.

Dish Gloves, Scraping, and A Trip to Target...

Wow -- what an action-packed end to my week.

Thursday evening, I had the opportunity to be a blessing and break out the cleaning supplies!  It was such an enjoyable evening.  It gave me a chance to get to know two fabulous little guys...and their delightful parents.  And let me just say...who does not love lavender cleaning supplies?  And green apple dishsoap?  All I can say, thank you for concocting girly-smelling cleaning products!!!!!

Friday evening was 5 hours of wallpaper-scraping, laughs, and secrets shared among close friends. Another memory made...so that in a few months, I can look at the goofy pictures and remember...and smile.  There's something about scrape-scrape-scraping that brings out the craziness in us.  Ummm and can I just share -- if you are looking for a great arm work-out, scrape wallpaper.  It works alot of muscles!!!!  Add laughter and you can smooch 500 calories goodbye!  :)

Saturday...blessed Saturday.  After purchasing groceries, I meandered through Target.  My purpose for the Target trip was to procure a package of cashews.  (Have I ever told you that I could probably consume my body weight in cashews?  It wouldn't be pretty...but it would tasty!!!)   While meandering about, I ended up seeing some crazy polka-dotted and heart socks that screamed two college students' names...what goes better with fun socks that Dove Milk Chocolates?  I mean, HELLO!  CHOCOLATE + SOCKS = Fun Package from Miss Angie...

And now I have the entire evening to enjoy at my leisure.  Pitter-patter...

I hope you have had a delightful end to your week.

"Why won't Fun Angie talk to me?" asks the inquisitive Emma Kate

Okay -- my friend Sara and I like leaving each other somewhat random voicemail messages.  It's what we do.  It's who we are.  It all started when we were teaching together and we had a gazillion random thoughts to share with one another...since our teaching days, our voicemail messages have transformed into urgent prayer requests, goofy stories, confessions, and the list goes on and on...

Sooo on Friday, shortly after the children and her departed Rockford, I called their home phone and left two random voicemails.  Technically - it was only supposed to be one voicemail message but the first message cut me off mid-sentence (RUDE!) so I had to call back.

Sara listened to the messages Saturday morning.  I am told Emma Kate (soon-to-be-four!!!) was running around the kitchen listening to Fun Angie on the answering machine.  She was saying (rather loudly), "Hi Fun Angie!  What are you doing today?  Why won't Fun Angie talk to me?"  She gets very frustrated (I imagine the term "slightly perterbed" might be a more accurate description) with the concept of voicemail and really the fact that Fun Angie wouldn't answer her.  Poor kid.  She called me another time and sang a very moving rendition of "Oh, What A Beautiful Morning..." and at the end of that message, she said, "I love you, Fun Angie.  Why won't you talk to me?"  The poor kid has no idea about the concept of voicemail.  Voicemail is when you can be totally random and no one expects otherwise...  I mean REALLY...it's like an audible blog post.  This might scare you...I know.  I know that saying it outloud let's you know that perhaps I, Fun Angie, do put the Crrrrr in Crazy.  But it's okay!  If you've never had a voicemail from me...you are missing out.  Do yourself a favor, call your best friend today and when you get sent to voicemail...spend the entire message telling them how absolutely wonderful they are and how much they mean to you.  It will brighten their day!  Promise!

Bloggable

Do you know that I love to journal?  You know that I like to blog -- infact, I think it's safe to say that I thoroughly enjoy blogging.  First of all -- blogging is way cheaper than therapy...WAY cheaper!  Second -- my blog let's my family and friends, who are far away, keep track of what I am doing.  Third -- my blog is kind of like an online journal.

Now back to my confession -- loving journals.  I really do love them.  My love for them began when I was in college.  Back then (ha-ha-ha "Back then..."  I could have wrote "Back in the day..." but that sounds way before "Back then...") I used a journal to record the important truths that I heard during chapel and church.  I still have some journals from PCC.  My favorite series of journals are my freshman year journals.  Wow!  Those messages were some of the most important messages...I remember scribbling down every word Pastor Schettler shared.  Truth be told - it wasn't quite every word...but close.

Now I journal sermon notes and sometimes the random things that are going on in my life that just aren't bloggable. Bloggable -- I LOVE IT!  I fairly certain that BLOGGABLE should be a word.  Let's spread that around!!!!  Many of my journal posts involve prayer requests and answers to prayer.  When I am having an "off" kind of day, I will think back to ways that the Lord has answered other requests and I will be reminded that He is still there.  He still loves me.  He still cares.

Tonight at our Bible study, Roxanne shared something soo amazing and yet simple.  God hears what we say and He also knows every single thought that goes through our brains.  We sometimes complain just inside our heads...but God still hears it.  Infact she also said, what if in the middle of my complaining, what if I heard that still, small voice whisper, "I hear you!  I hear you!"  How convicting!!!

We could send the menfolk...

Have you ever gotten together with a group of good friends and said something that just left everyone (yourself included) dumbfounded?  That was me last night...here's what happened...

We (Lauren, Leah, Ruthie, and I) were enjoying some fabulous fellowship over coffee, water, and a free Chi Tea.  We somehow got on to the subject of having a chick flick movie marathon...more specifically, it was Anne of Green Gables.  We were discussing when an opportune time to watch said movie would be.  I said, "Well, we could send the menfolk out in to the woods..."  There was a deafening pause.  All eyes turned to me to double-check and insure that YES - THOSE WORDS "SEND THE MENFOLK OUT IN TO THE WOODS" CAME FROM ANGIE GOOD!

After a moment of silence, we burst into laughter.  What are we?  Trapped in an episode of Little House on the Prairie?  Menfolk out into the woods...  Goodness.

Sometimes I just say whatever is floating around in my brain...and when that happens, it is a potentially dangerous situation.  OBVIOUSLY!!!

"R" is for your right eye....

This morning, the 12 year old (and literally, he wasn't 12 years old...but he was very young) handed me my two boxes of contact lenses.  As he placed them on the counter, side-by-side, he said rather condescendingly, "Now...the 'R' on the box is for your right eye."  (He dramatically pointed to the RED dot sticker with a HUGE "R"!)  He continues..."And the unmarked box -"

I interrupted him and replied equally condescending but somewhat sweet, "Wait - I've got this!  The unmarked box is for my LEFT eye, right?"
He very humbly replied, "Yes!"

And I picked up my boxes and left the eye doctor and drove directly to Meg's Daily Grind and purchased a medium Soy Autumn Latte and laughed about the whole experience.

Could he not have looked at me and saw...
A. I was not born yesterday.
B. The wheels were spinning and I am alert.
C. I appeared to have it (whatever it really is) altogether.

I shared this story with our department supervisor, who could not resist pointing out that every single "R" meant right, right?  I'm glad I brightened his day.  And really, truth-be-told, this did brighten my day.  It also made me very mindful about the tone I use with others.

Another doe. As in "doe, a deer, a female deer"...

Oh my goodness...something very strange keeps happening to me!!!!  Remember my post from Sunday (as in 4 days ago) when I was driving on I-80/90 going approximately 70 miles per hour and I was singing along with the Sound of Music soundtrack...and it came to song, "Do, Re, Mi" and I glanced off to the side of the road and saw that doe???  Do you remember?  (I'm hoping that you are nodding your head...)

Well, after a terrible day at work today (and it wasn't truly terrible, it was just really rough and full of all kinds of CRRRRRRR-AZINESS)...I popped in the soundtrack because I was thinking to myself, What would cheer me up?  Perhaps singing along with Julie Andrews about my favorite things....well, maybe I will start with "Do, Re, Mi..."  Surely that will brighten my day.

So I found that the CD was in slot #3.  The song started and I said outloud (I LITERALLY SAID THIS OUTLOUD!!!!!!!!!), "Lord, are you going to send another deer?" 0.3 seconds later, I glanced to the right side of the road. YOU GUESSED IT....Doe, a deer, a female deer. She was super cute with white spots. I needed a good laugh and apparently the Lord saw fit to send it in the form of wildlife. :) I'm soo thankful for His blessings at the end of loooooong days.  And I am praying that He never sees fit to send me...
A) Possums
B) Snakes
C) Lizards
D) Grasshoppers and/or locusts
E) Bats
F) Red-winged blackbirds

He could, however, send a cute calf.  I know this is going to sound totally absurd to you, but since this is my blog and you are stalking ME...well, I would kind of like a calf.  Now I know that it's going to grow up and be a huge cow...but calves are just delightful!!!  I love it when they want to suck on your fingers.  And their noses are soft and pink.  Oh - and something else I would love...little chicks.  I'm aware that having chickens requires work and they are stinky and messy.  When I was a kid, our neighbors had chickens and several times I was called upon to go gather the eggs.  I remember being terrified of pulling the warm eggs out from under the chickens.  Chicks and calves....hmmmm...I'd also kind of like a huge garden.  I realize that if I did up and move to a farm that I would more than likely have to turn in my Engineering Secretary hat and done a cute straw hat and a gingham sundress...which I could totally pull off.  I love the country, don't you?  I mean - you can drive 45 miles per hour and not be caught up in the rat-race of city life.  You can walk through the grass barefoot (well, watch out for those snakes!) and just enjoy being.  You see, you can take the girl out of the country....but, my friends, you cannot take the country out of the girl.  Oh my -- where was I?

Once I arrived at home, I sent off a cheery text informing my friend of what had happened AGAIN.  She had a novel idea...why not listen to the Music Man...too which I counter-offered, Fiddler on the Roof.  "Matchmaker, matchmaker, make me a match..."  I shall get the soundtrack from the bibliotecca tomorrow.  I love Fiddler on the Roof.  Did you know that the very first time I had ever seen that musical was 4 years ago with my dear friend, Trudy?  How is it that I was an adult before I had ever seen it?  It all goes back to the post where I confessed (and now you know it to be 100% true), I don't get out much.  :)

Pull out the big guns!!!!!

Sooo I am about to embark on a 4-1/2 hour journey to Michigan to spend the weekend with my brother.  We are celebrating his birthday a week early -- as I don't like to travel over Labor Day weekend.  The thought of sitting on the Sky Way for hours and hours does not bring me one ounce of joy.  Since my brother is a rockstar, he is totally fine with celebrating a week early!  I mean -- HELLO - BIRTHDAY PRESENTS BEFORE YOUR BIRTHDAY!  WHO DOESN'T LOVE THAT???

Rosie is all packed.  My list is checked off.  The last thing I need to do before departing is paint my fingernails...which will take a couple minutes.  Nothing major.  Then I will be off for three days of fun in Michigan.  I'm hoping to connect with my friend Shelley & her delightful daughter and maybe sneak over to Flavor Fruit Farm -- the apple orchard of my youth.  Apple cider......THERE ARE NO WORDS!!!!

CONFESSION:  I have the Sound of Music soundtrack in my car.  It's one of the three big guns that helps me get through the drive...okay, not literal guns.  The first - prayer!  The second - "These are a few of my favorite things..." :)  The third - coffee.  Caffeination + singing + Jesus.  A perfect trifecta for my roadtrip.

I hope you have a lovely weekend!!!

Tootles!

Some random things I just don't understand...

1. Why do perfectly normal drivers try to enter the expressway (I-90 and even Bypass 20) going 40-45 miles per hour?  I believe this is a direct quote from my drivers education teacher (from circa 1990):  "Enter the highway going the speed limit .... or atleast accelerate like a fool to reach the speed limit when you merge on ... unless of course, you want to die!"

2. Why is organic produce more expensive than regular produce?  Organic farmers do not need to purchase pesticides to spray on their plants thus saving them money ... right?  I feel like this could be a 7th grade math story problem..."If Jack has a farm and Bill has a farm, and Jack grows organic produce..."

3. Why does my Easy Guacamole recipe claim to serve 16?  Sixteen what....Smurfs?  Sixteen two year-olds?  I will post the recipe...then you can tell me if you concur with the "Serves 16."

4. Why are the Halloween and Thanksgiving decorations out?  It's August.  Granted - I have started knitting Christmas presents....but for real - decorations?  I'm the girl who loves ALL-THINGS CHRISTMAS (ask Lauren -- formerly the secretary who is now Lauren the teacher :))....but seriously.....  They should've waited 'til after Labor Day.

5. How is it possible that my near-death spider plant has resurrected itself?  It was on its last leg (okay - this is cracking me up because in my head, I am totally thinking...Spider plant....spiders have 8 legs!!!!)  Any-who...I neglected Spidey and he was knocking on death's door and then I had this epiphany to set him outside in the sun....and three weeks later...HE'S ALIVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!  And he's doing sooo well.  Yeah!  I'm glad he didn't bite-the-dust because I believe my Mom once said, "Angie, no one kills spider plants!"  I would hate to be the FIRST GIRL IN THE HISTORY OF THE WORLD TO KILL A SPIDER PLANT!  That would be totally embarrassing....  I mean there are some things that I enjoy being...Angie the Sunday School teacher.....Fun Angie....Angie the Engineering Secretary....Angie the space cadet....Angie daughter of Jim and Nancy....Angie, big sister of Bryan....  I don't want to be a spider plant killer.  That's just wrong.

So there you have it....five things that are totally unrelated but all equally perplexing to the girl with curly hair...well, technically today I am the girl with straight hair....but alas, you know me both ways...

ATBAB2

I will preface this little story with the fact that I AM NOT CONCEITED.  :)

Today I said something quite profound while standing in the church parking lot.  My circle of friends stood there amazed and dumbfounded.  Too me - it was common knowledge so I thought nothing of blurting out my bit o' information.  Before you come to the conclusion that (GASP!) Angie Good was gossiping...I wasn't!  We were talking about locking your keys in the car...to which I announced, "If you had AAA, you could've just called the 800-number on the back of the card and they would dispatch a tow truck to come unlock your vehicle."

Listener S said, "No way.  They do that?  I have AAA."

I replied, "Ummm yes.  They count it as a 'tow' but yes - they will unlock your car.  You should get atleast 5 tows per year.  Seriously."

Listener G replied, "You amaze me, Angie Good!"

Too which I replied, "I know, I know...all this beauty and brains too!"

Listener R said, "I knew it!  I knew you were going to say that!  You're fabulous, Angie Good!"

I'm not exactly sure when this whole ATBAB2 thing started....I believe it was two years ago when we joined the gym.  Rhonda and I would work-out and I will give her a plethora of facts...mostly random...but facts nonetheless.  CONFESSION:  If you go to my work computer and you click on the Internet and go to my Favorites, you will see that I have a website there labeled as "Useless Information."  I found a website with 100+ bits of useless information.  For example -- In the state of Utah, birds have the right-of-way.  That's very weird to me.  Thankfully I do not reside there...because let me just say, I like to try to aim at the geese in the road....not soo much with my Corolla, but when I owned Ruby and even the Pickle - I would try to send them to the "big pond in the sky"!!!!

This detour sign cracks me up...mostly because I know the mastermind who is behind the wording.  And needless to say -- He puts the "Crrrrrrrrrrrrrr...." in CRAZY!  LOL!

After our first failed attempt, Ruthie and I pulled out the big guns (and by "big guns" - I mean our real camera and not our poor-quality camera phones) on Friday evening when we returned from a very successful Janesville roadtrip-thrifting adventure.  I say "successful" because I obtained 2 cute skirts (one Old Navy and one New York & Company), black capris, and a cute, fru-fru girlie top that I plan to wear with jeans!!!!

What a fabulous way to spend a Friday night....Red Mango smoothies + Ruthie + thrifting + TJ Maxx + laughter.  Goodtimes.  :)

It's been awhile.

While I was in The JoAnn Fabrics store this afternoon purchasing pre-punched paper for my 2024 garden journal, I said to myself, "Self,...
