Wow - when my alarm went off this morning, the only thought that crossed my mind was, Sheesh - Monday already? I will have you know that my Monday did not turn out to be too bad of a day...it was nice and quiet. My favorite co-worker took the day off so I wasn't running back and forth to his office...unfortunately that meant that I didn't laugh nearly as much as I usually do. That's okay though - "Meredith" kept me entertained about her weekend tragedies. (They weren't really tragedies as in life-or-death...lest you think Fun Angie doesn't have a heart! Sheesh!)
After punching out at 4:30 on the dot, I ran home and shut all the windows and finally turned on my AC -- the first time this summer. I probably should've turned it on last week - there were a couple nights when the humidity about did me in...but today the temperature was 97 (Rosie did say "102" when I first got in her) and the humidity is not going to break at night...so I decided it's about time. I will only have to run it for the next 2 days, because on Thursday - our forecasted high is 77. YES -- SEVENTY-SEVEN DEGREES! I think Friday's high was 67 or 68! Wow! What a drop in temps! I don't mind, to be honest...I like the 70's. Temp-wise. Well, and I kind of like tye dye. I do not (NOT) like the big hair from the 70's which might be easily accomplishable with a lack of hair product on my curls. Yeah, I could pull off some big, crazy hair if I did not put some tame-down-my-curls-so-I-look-normal stuff. Without that hair stuff, two words...DANGER! DANGER!
After cranking on the AC and shutting all the windows, I headed to the gym by my lonesome. It was hot inside the gym! Oh my land! And why is it that I cannot remember to bring an extra bottle of water. 38 ounces are not enough in this heat. Here are some of the random thoughts that went through my head tonight...
Time remaining - the thought
59 minutes - Am I done yet?
55 minutes - I miss Leah!
52 minutes - 8 minutes in and I am ready to quit.
50 minutes - Would consuming an entire watermelon make me sick?
47 minutes - I can do this!
44 minutes - I miss Lauren and Ruthie!
41 minutes - I need to get out more.
35 minutes - Pink or green sundress tomorrow?
32 minutes - How much longer?
29 minutes - Would I get canker sores from all the acid in 2 pounds of strawberries if they were consumed in one sitting?
22 minutes - I love this machine! (I think the happy thoughts happen now because the endorphins are swimming around happily!)
17 minutes - R_____'s pseudo-boyfriend is here.
15 minutes - Where are the nice guys who love Jesus hiding?
14 minutes - Soo glad I have Mr. Turner serenading me.
12 minutes - I miss Leah, Ruthie, and Lauren!
7 minutes - I wish I had more water!
5 minutes - I cannot make it 5 more minutes plus the 5 minute cool down.
3 minutes - Why can't I drink the machine cleaner?
1 minute - HALLELUJAH CHORUS!! Not just any ol' Hallelujah Chorus...it's the Mormon Tabernacle Choir in all their glory.
During the entire 5 minute cool down: By 5 minute cool down, I wonder if those guys at the desk would mind spraying me with ice cold water while I lay prostrate on the floor in a mini-coma....hmmmmm....
