I must confess that I was feeling rather overwhelmed about the Christmas program. I know, I KNOW, that in the end...the children would be adorable and no one would really mind if, oh, let's say, someone skips a line or two. The parents are going to think their children are precious no matter what happens next Sunday. For my own sanity and I believe Miss Lauren's sanity (correct me if I'm wrong, Miss Lauren?)...we NEEDED the two back-to-back sanctuary practices. The children read soooo well yesterday! They were conversational and not monotone. They enunciated the words. It was a rather enjoyable way to spend a Saturday morning.
We have two more back-to-back practices....next Saturday and Sunday morning during Sunday School. Our Saturday practice is a dress rehearsal...which ought to be interesting.
My friend, Sara, was right..."with you two (Lauren and I) in-charge, there will be LOTS of coffee and laughter." Sara was right....and truth be told...there will be coffee, laughter, more coffee, and more laughter next weekend.
