Three days ago, I read this quote in Max Lucado's book, Celebrating Christmas with Jesus:
"Sometimes God is so touched by what He sees that He gives us what we need and not simply that for which we ask." ~ from He still Moves Stones
We began this advent-ish devotional on December 1st. It's a thirty-one day reminder of Who this season is really about...it's not about presents or a jolly, fat man that breaks & enters leaving you presents and filling your stockings... It's about Jesus. It's about His birth. It's also about His death...as He was born to die for you and me.
This devotional book that we are reading through isn't lengthy by any means...but it's given me pause to remember the One for whom we celebrate this wonderful season...and for that, I am truly thankful.
