My 7th day of December ended on a chilly note...the temperature outside and the delightful dessert-after-church, a kids-sized gingerbread milkshake. Talk about a Christmas party in my mouth! It was delicious!!! And even more sweet...SPENDING TIME WITH MY FRIEND!!!!
We even managed to score a chocolate mint for dessert with our dessert. Free chocolate!!! And people say "You can't get nothin' for free anymore!" Well, to those people, I say, "Yes - there are two things that I know of that are free....the little chocolate mint AND my advice." Technically, there are times when I wish I could charge for my advice but alas, I am just the engineering secretary and not a therapist.
Speaking of "therapist" -- I know a third thing that's totally free...BLOGGING! Well, you have to have internet...but I suppose you could use the library's free internet. Ooooh I remember the days when I didn't have internet at the cottage and I would venture to the Rockton Center Branch of the library....2 words - screaming children! When those same screaming children started in with a "colorful" vocabulary - that was when I drew the line and took a hard look at my budget and started slashing non-essentials to afford internet. Now I can blog in my flannel jammies at the cottage. Life is good. I suppose I could have gone to the library in my jammies and blogged...but I am not that girl. Have you noticed how many people shop at Wal-Mart in their jammies? It's crazy!
Happy 7th day of December. I hope you did something absolutely delightful today.
