1. I got to get all dolled-up for ME. It made me feel like a million bucks to put on a girlie dress, fru-fru jewelry, strappy sandals which showed off my freshly pedicured toes...and I didn't have to do it -- but I choose to get dressed-up!
2. I got to sit with Trudy and Ruthie and laugh until my heart was content. I, also, got a fabulous welcome from Jackson, "Funny Angie is here!" What more do you need than the love of a 4-year old!!!! Oh wait -- the love of his little sister too. Splitting up your time between friends, 2 cute kids, and a date -- exhausting. It's easier that I went by myself.
3. I didn't have to explain why I ate two monstrous plates of salad and no pizza or pasta! Some men thinks it's a hoax that I don't eat gluten. Look - I love bread! I love pizza! I miss it! But do I want to feel LOUSY? Nope.... It's easier not having to explain that it makes me feel awful...
4. I got to run to Target after the dinner and buy Dr. Bronner's Lavender Soap while chatting on the phone with my brother. Couldn't have done that with a date...well, technically I could've...but it would've been rude to talking and laughing with my brother while my date sat silently waiting for my fabulous attention to be bestowed upon him.
