"Miss Angie, how did you use math today?"

The question was posed to me in a text.  Hmmmmm...how did I use math today???

1. to tell time

2. measure oatmeal to cook on my stovetop

3. subtracted/added large quantities of money to determine contractor payment

4. counted the number of stitches to knit

5. considered numerical order when filing

6. compared dollar amounts of used vs. new books

7. added the quantity of label dividers

8. calculated how many minutes left in my workday :)

Wow!  I engaged many-a-math skill today.  Multiplying, dividing, adding, subtracting...

I love math.
