Actually, "Sew, a needle pulling thread" could also read..."Sew, Angie Good was ripping out thread..." It doesn't flow as nicely as the Julie Andrews' version but it does hold some truth.
Here's my skirt after 3 sewing classes. Actually the first sewing class doesn't count as we introduced ourselves and then went shopping for our supplies.
I made friends with my stitch ripper last night. (Sigh.)
If I could go back in time...you know to January, I would tell myself, "ANGIE GOOD, PICK AN EASIER PATTERN!!!" Yes, that would be me yelling. Saying it in a nice voice would only make me think it was just a suggestion...
If I do conquer this pattern and complete this skirt, it will be Olympic gold medal worthy. Ok, maybe not gold...maybe silver. I prefer silver over bronze, but if I was to seriously be at the Olympics, I would embrace bronze.
We have a make-up sewing class tomorrow night. The next step of my skirt pattern is the zipper and using twill tape.
