I tried making resolutions for the first 20ish years of my life.
In my 30's, I got over that notion.
Now that I'm in my 40's, I make fun goals. They are not resolutions. They are not rules. They are not things to live by. They are goals I hope to accomplish.
My goals for 2019, in no particular order, are as follows:
1. Learn to knit socks.
2. Be more disciplined in regards to my budget.
3. Regarding the aforementioned 2nd goal, plan the bookstore trip to Scotland.
4. Consign more.
Four goals. That's it.
I'm super excited about my first goal - the sock-making. I spent the first 15 minutes of my lunch perusing the Ravelry website (www.ravelry.com). Are you a knitter or crocheter? Check out Ravelry. * whispers * You can thank me later.
I found 2 pairs of "easy-peasy" socks. Next I will need to procure size 1 double pointed knitting needles and some fabulous sock yarn.
The trouble with sock yarn is IT IS SO FABULOUS. How am I going to pick one skein?
Regarding the next 2 goals - they are more of a "I-want-to-track" my budget and go from there.
Goal #4 - I blame my friend Lori. 😀 She found an ad for a trip to Scotland where you run a smallish bookshop for a week or two. You are required to blog about the experience. Ummmm...I LOVE BOOKS AND I LOVE TO BLOG. Oh and I LOVE TRAVELING!!!!!!!
So there you have it. My 2019 goals.
Did you make any goals?
