A most fabulous life

In the matter of one week's time, I have:
1. cheered for my favorite senior Lancer.
2. spent a day crafting and crocheting with Nance.
3. LOVED Sunday's message at church (sooo filling)
4. spent a day at the Chicago Auto Show with my Dad
5. boarded a Boeing-something-or-rather and ended up at Asheville's airport.
6. spent 1 day with Trudy and Bryan.  Trudy and I toured the Biltmore Estate while Bryan got us Well-Bred gluten-free double chocolate cookies
7. spent the afternoon with Trudy's mom helping her run errands

Tomorrow we are meeting my mom.and going gallivanting.

Friday - not sure.  The sky is the limit!  Literally the sky cause at 7 p.m. I board a 40-seat plane to head to Atlanta and then another Boeing-something-or-rather will take me to O'Hare.  Hopefully before the last shuttle bus to Rockford.

What a fabulous week!!!!

2019 Goals

I tried making resolutions for the first 20ish years of my life.
In my 30's, I got over that notion.
Now that I'm in my 40's, I make fun goals.  They are not resolutions.  They are not rules.  They are not things to live by.  They are goals I hope to accomplish.

My goals for 2019, in no particular order, are as follows:
1. Learn to knit socks.
2. Be more disciplined in regards to my budget.
3. Regarding the aforementioned 2nd goal, plan the bookstore trip to Scotland.
4. Consign more.

Four goals.  That's it.

I'm super excited about my first goal - the sock-making.  I spent the first 15 minutes of my lunch perusing the Ravelry website (www.ravelry.com).  Are you a knitter or crocheter?  Check out Ravelry.  * whispers * You can thank me later.

I found 2 pairs of "easy-peasy" socks.  Next I will need to procure size 1 double pointed knitting needles and some fabulous sock yarn.

The trouble with sock yarn is IT IS SO FABULOUS.  How am I going to pick one skein?

Regarding the next 2 goals - they are more of a "I-want-to-track" my budget and go from there.

Goal #4 - I blame my friend Lori. 😀  She found an ad for a trip to Scotland where you run a smallish bookshop for a week or two.  You are required to blog about the experience.  Ummmm...I LOVE BOOKS AND I LOVE TO BLOG.  Oh and I LOVE TRAVELING!!!!!!!

So there you have it.  My 2019 goals.

Did you make any goals?

Siberia

A couple weeks ago I got my passport.  (Yeah me!!!)  Shortly thereafter, I was talking to Bryan and telling him that he should get his so we could go on a grand adventure.  I, then, asked him where he would like to go... (thinking he would've said Italy, the South of France, Spain)...he replied in all seriousness that he would lile us to carry out sibling shenanigans over the ocean and around the globe to Siberia.  Naturally I thought he was kidding....  He wasn't.  He really wants to go to Siberia.

Bryan, then, asked me where I thought we should go...too which I quickly replied all the aforementioned places and added Australia and even Scotland.  Too my list, he excitedly replied, "Those are great, Sis!!!"  Did I sway his opinion away - far away - from Siberia?  *Hopes*

Not so.  He is actually researching Siberia and is pretty animated about this adventure.

Per several travel websites, the best time to go Siberia is October or November.  It's "milder."  As opposed to what?  I have no idea.

I love my brother so yes, I will go on this Siberian adventure.

Rhonda said, "People will ask me where you are at and I will get to say, 'Oh, Angie Good, she's in Siberia!!!' "

This next Fall is out...and probably 2016 too...so our tentative Siberia travel date is 2017.

I am really hoping for global warming.  Wait...not global...but how about Siberian warming.  :)

It's been awhile.

While I was in The JoAnn Fabrics store this afternoon purchasing pre-punched paper for my 2024 garden journal, I said to myself, "Self,...
