Earlier today my co-worker apologized for something.   When I told him that he didn't need to apologize, he replied, "Well, I know what you did to that cheetah."

He is referring to my perfectly adorable faux leopard/cheetah(ish) print flats.

No cheetahs were compromised in the making of my FAUX cheetah print shoes.

SURPRISE NAVY SANDALS!!!!

I love Amazon...in that, when I am searching for something or on the fence about making a purchase, I can just add the item to a list for future consideration.  This saves me from making a purchase that I don't want or really don't need.

The last couple of weeks I have been searching for navy sandals.  I want a wedge (or slight wedge) heel.  I don't want fourteen gazillion straps nor bling.  My feet do not need to the blinged.  

I found a cute pair of strappy navy sandals and must have placed them in my cart and not on a list.  

The other day I checked-out forgetting that I needed to move the navy sandals to my top secret "maybe purchase" list...

Two days later a box was outside my door and to my surprise - it contained those super cute navy sandals.

Now what's a girl to do?  Send the shoes back to the cold, empty shoe warehouse OR keep the shoes here since they are already pretty much at home?  I decided to try them on... *sigh*  They fit and they are comfy.  

Now that I've tried them on, we are friends.  The shoes will stay.  What a lovely little surprise.  To me from me - XOXOXO!

 

Out of control

Help!!!  My summer shoes are out of control!!!  I am in need of storage ideas that won't break my bank account.

When in doubt - add a felt flower!!!

Soooo I bought these cute shoes...and on the top, they had a bow.  I didn't notice at the time of purchase that one of the bows was compromised. 

I've been contemplating ways to "fix" the problem...and this week, as if by a shoe epiphany (and I am pretty sure it was induced by too much Pinterest-ing)...I had a fabulous idea -- add a flower.

White sandals

I wear a size 7-1/2.  Apparently this shoe size is common.  Every summer, I find a pair of white sandals that I like and I wait....and wait...and wait...hoping that those sandals go on sale and I can snag them.  I must not be the only fabulous girl to do this because every (as in EV-ER-Y) summer, by the time I get around to purchasing those sandals, all the size 7-1/2 and even 8s are picked over and there is only size 6 or size 11s left.  Not this year...

I like to equate finding the perfect pair of shoes with finding a nice guy who loves Jesus.  I used to settle on cheaper footwear in lieu of spending extra money...and unfortunately, I thought I had to settle on just any old guy.  But now I know....patience pays off!!!  Found the shoes!  Now where's the nice guy?  :)

I'm rather smitten...

...with Casual Fridays.  You know how Superman has that cool cape that he wears...and Batman has the Bat-Mobile.  I don't have a cape and Rosie is not the Bat-Mobile...so I have the next best thing...SUPER CUTE, PINK PLAID SHOES!!!
