"It's expensive being a girl, isn't it?"

...earlier the same man was quoted as saying (regarding my pink--very pink--nail polish purchase), "Wow - you are just throwing caution to the wind and going all out PINK!"

With great fear and trepidation, I changed hair products. Now...those of you who knew me in college -- it was Dep Gel #8. It was an orange-ish goop that kept my curls intact during the humid-est of humid days in Pensacola, Florida...however when I came north, I realized I didn't need that my power! (I'm totally saying "BAM" like Emeril...I'm just sayin'...)

Then my friend Amy got me hooked on Curls Rock. She had a supplier who gave us a huge discount. It was totally top secret and NICE! :)

Well...I'm going out on a limb. First of all...I have not allowed Missy to chop off my hair. It's getting kind of long. Well, longer for me...longer for me as of late. :) Soooo I decided that I needed something to help my curls. They have been struggling for about 2 weeks and I couldn't quite figure out the problem. I asked Rhonda and she made mention of the length and maybe I should try something else...something a little more powerful.

Guess what I am using? Foxy Curls. The name alone cracks me up. I mean REALLY...Angie Good with Foxy Curls? (You know when you roll your r's and it makes a purr-kind of sound...that's totally what I am doing in my head...oh wait, I'm doing that ouloud!)

I did read the fine print before purchasing it and if I was not 100% satisfied, I could get my money back. It's a good thing because curly hair sometimes has a mind of its own.

Soo today was the first day that I used the product and I have to say...my curls stayed intact. I even was able to blow-dry my hair this morning and it did NOT do that crazy 80's thing where it got big and poofy. YEAH---I felt like cheering for Foxy Curls! Give me an F! Give me an O! Okay-that's enough.

Happy hair days to you!

It's been awhile.

While I was in The JoAnn Fabrics store this afternoon purchasing pre-punched paper for my 2024 garden journal, I said to myself, "Self,...
