Skating extravaganza!!!

Tonight we had our all-church ice skating event.  I'm happy to report that ice skating is alot like riding bike...because even though it had been circa 12 years since I had last laced-up my white skates, I was able to go 'round and 'round the rink several times without a mishap.  The first 4 or so laps had me sticking rather close to the wall.  I'm not the kind of skater that likes to skate through the middle of the rink -- so I pretty much stuck to the outside area avoiding small children who lack any and all inhibition and were daring.  I'm sorry -- but I really didn't want to fall.  Not that smacking my tailbone or my elbow on the ice didn't sound like loads of fun...I'm not the kind of girl who likes to inflict pain upon herself...which probably explains why I will never (and I do mean this with my whole heart) ever ever ever get a tattoo.  And sky dive.  And pierce anything other than my ears -- which already have two holes each so I am set.

Thankfully the Lord heard my plea when I said, Lord, I really don't want to fall tonight because I know if I do fall that it will end up on Facebook...not to mention, it will be extremely painful!  Please help me not to fall or trip tonight.  If I do fall, give me grace to laugh...and please don't let it be recorded.  Amen.

Honest...that's along the same lines of my prayer as I exited Rosie and headed in to the ice arena.  I'm not vain...I just really didn't want to fall!
