I don't "cold oil" Rosie. Ok, technically - I have done it a time or two. Perhaps a more accurate opening statement would be...I don't like to "cold oil" Rosie. (For those of you not raised in the Good-household, "cold oil" is when in the winter, you start up your car and take right off -- not allowing the vehicle a chance to warm up!) To instill this in my 16-year old brain, my father very wisely said, "How would you like it if I yanked you out from under your warm blankets, threw you out in the snow with nothing on but your pajamas, and made you run 4 miles to school?" Ummmm...NO thanks!
A - I'm not much of a morning person until after a warm cup of coffee and a warm shower.
B - Landing in a snowdrift in my jammies...brrrrrrrr...
C - Running? Are you kidding me? I'm not a fan of running although, I suppose, in order to get warm, I might be tempted to run.
So this morning, I started Rosie allowing her sufficient time to warm- up and WOULDN'T YOU KNOW -- the low tire pressure light came on AGAIN. Funny (sarcasm noted) how she was just at the dealer yesterday and if you remember correctly, the light was coming on because the spare tire sensor was bad.
I found it interesting that front passenger-side tire was kind of squishy. Now - CONFESSION - I did not check the spare time IN THE TRUNK to see if it was squishy feeling also. :)
After beginning my commute to work, I had a lovely chat with the Service Manager, Mark. I informed him of the initial phone call and Kyle's suggestion of adding air and also using a tire gauge. Both of which, Mark now knows, I am well aware of their uses...and also, I did not appreciate the you-are-a-woman-and-don't-have-a-clue-about-cars. I will stop right here and interject that one time I did refer to the hood as a "lid" -- which probably displayed my true girlie-girl spirit.
The story ends -- Monday morning Rosie is to report to the dealer at 7 a.m. and I was assured that she will be taken care of. Let's hope and pray that this is the case. :)
