They are entering a curly bomb shelter never to see the light of day again...

Today I slathered my hair with Behaved hair product.  That stuff has magical powers.  It's able to help my hair go from a massive amount of curly-craziness to a semi-straight state...that is until I went to the gym where the AC must not have been working to its full potential.  I left the gym with crazy, CR-AZE-EEEEEEE hair.

For those of you who are blessed to not have curly and/or wavy hair, humidity flattens your hair.  I was informed last night.  For us curly hair and/or wavy hair folks, humidity tightens its hold on our curls/waves making them cry out in agony as they kink-up as if they are entering a curly bomb shelter never to see the light of day again.  That might be too severe...then again, you did not get to see my hair tonight when I left the gym.  I actually thought, I should probably invest in an emergency baseball cap for days like today.  It wasn't pretty.

Hair product really does matter.  Behaved is probably my new favorite.  I say "new favorite" because I've only known of those this fabulous product for two months.  Behaved straightens my hair when combined with the blowdryer...however for a fun curly look, I can put Behaved on my hair and let my curls air dry.

Something I did not know until thumbing through a magazine, it's a good idea to diffuse curly hair.  Diffusing (blow drying with a diffuser) seals your hair and keeps the humid moisture from frizzying out the curls.  I never knew that until about a year ago...enlightening.  See -- read my blog and you learn stuff.  Random stuff...but you learn.

Oh - and Behaved has sunscreen for your hair.  Did you know that your hair needs sunscreen?  I kinda remember hearing something about that when I was in college in Florida...obviously it did not stick with me thus the reminder... :)

Another great hair product for humid days, It's A 10.  It's a leave-in hair conditioning product that does 10 things to your hair.  I like that it protects my hair from the straightener.

That's all for now.

It's been awhile.

While I was in The JoAnn Fabrics store this afternoon purchasing pre-punched paper for my 2024 garden journal, I said to myself, "Self,...
